Some young people can struggle to show what they are truly capable of at school or work, due to difficulties with focusing and organising themselves.
How does it work?
12 sessions are held for 1.5 hours per session for 13-35 year olds. Sessions are one hour in duration for primary school aged children. A parent/carer is required to attend as well, to help individualise the program for the young person and to reinforce the skills being developed.
What skills are covered?
Think Smart for Success Club helps your young person to learn how to:
- Effectively solve problems
- Recognise and control emotions
- Get organised
- Make a to-do list
- Break down a big project
- Get started on a task
- Manage time
- Improve sleep habits
- Use mindfulness
- Use a diary
Therapy assistants are available to generalise skills learnt during clubs to the everyday environment.
*Please note this program is currently being researched by UCLA so a modified version is being offered by Succeed Healthcare Solutions in the meantime.
