Think Smart Club (Brain Training)

Does your young person struggle to get tasks done? Young people who struggle to get tasks done may have difficulties with executive function skills. These skills are performed by the brain to help us to plan, focus, remember instructions, and multi-task. They are the key to performing well at school, work and in relationships.

Think Smart Club helps your young person to learn how to:

  • Effectively solve problems
  • Recognise and control emotions
  • Get organised
  • Make a to-do list
  • Break down a big project
  • Get started on a task
  • Manage time
  • Improve sleep habits
  • Use mindfulness
  • Use a diary
  • Study.

12 sessions are held for 1.5 hours per session for 13-35 year olds. Sessions are one hour in duration for primary school aged children. A parent/carer is required to attend as well, to help individualise the program for the young person and to reinforce the skills being developed.
