Study Savvy Clubs

Young people's experiences of educational institutions can range from enjoyment to not feeling supported or understood. We aim to increase the success and enjoyment of the educational experience. Includes therapy assistants where you need them, and high school readiness strategies.

Study Savvy Clubs incorporate:

  • Study Buddies Club – our Therapy Assistants (‘Study Buddies’) implement therapy programs in the community where it matters most. This includes at kinder/school/university, at home or out and about. They work under the direction of our Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist and Nutritionist to assist young people to achieve their goals.
  • High School Harmony Club. Topics include celebrating success, choosing a high school, and developing a transition plan. We also identify your child’s learning style and contribute to a meaningful Individual Education Plan. Topics also cover getting ready each day, setting up a mentor system and more. Grades 4-6.
  • Our reading, storytelling, handwriting and primary school readiness programs have been incorporated into our Going Wild outdoor therapy club (except they will run for telehealth participants). For further information on the handwriting component, see Size Matters Handwriting Program and Handwriting Without Tears.
