Stress Less for Success Clubs (including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy)

Whole families can suffer when a young person experiences intense emotions. Stress Less for Success seeks to improve young people's quality of life through teaching distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness skills.

Why attend?

Stress Less for Success Clubs aim to assist young people with autism or are struggling to cope with depression, anxiety, and chronic diseases such as diabetes and obesity.

What’s involved?

Our Stress Less for Success Clubs incorporate:

  • Wise Minds Club (Radically Open/Dialectical Behaviour Therapy). Ages: 10-35 year olds. These skills are hypothesised to also assist with Autism and are currently being researched. Concepts such as wise mind, mindfulness, distress tolerance, walking the middle path, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness are applied in a practical way. For more information see Behavioural Tech Core Evidence of DBT and About RO DBT.
  • Step Out Club (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy program – MEYA). Ages: 6-14 year olds. Covers behavioural, emotional and friendship-related difficulties, promoting independence in daily self-help skills, and addressing repetitive and under controlled behaviours. Information is presented visually and uses the young persons’ special interests where possible. For more information see CBT intervention adapted for Autism.
