The Secret Agent Society Social Skills Program: Empowering Young Cadets with Neuroaffirming Learning

For over a decade, the Secret Agent Society has been on a mission to transform the lives of children worldwide. Our espionage-themed resources offer an evidence-based, captivating solution to structured social and emotional learning for children aged 8-12 years old. If you’re a young Cadet ready to embark on a journey to decode emotions and navigate social encounters, look no further.
The Secret Agent Society invites children aged 8-12 to join a small group of fellow Cadets, where they will learn how to recognise and understand emotions in themselves and others, regulate their own emotions (especially anxiety and anger), solve social problems both individually and as a team, and develop essential social skills for friendship and teamwork. Our programme is designed to prepare your child for life’s social and emotional challenges in a fun and effective way.
Originally developed for children on the autism spectrum, the Secret Agent Society has expanded its evidence base to demonstrate meaningful change for children with various diagnostic and neurodiverse profiles.
Our professional SAS Facilitators lead a multi-session program that generally takes around 6-8 months from commencement to graduation as a Secret Agent. It requests a family’s commitment to a series of nine weekly/fortnightly group meetings and then two booster sessions. Between their regular Club Meetings, Cadets are supported by their adult Mentors to complete their Skill Tracker, Mission Journal, and the SAS Digital HQ.
Cadet Club Meetings are typically held in groups of 3-4 children, either in person or via telehealth/remote learning. This approach ensures uninterrupted program access and allows parents to join Parent Group Meetings from flexible locations, promoting increased access from remote areas or busy families.
At each Cadet Club meeting, children create a personalised, fully-digitised Gadget Pack containing espionage-themed tools and resources for real-life missions and skill practice. Parents and teachers engage through the Mentor Portal, accessing tailored resources and support.
With over 20 publications, the SAS is an evidence-based approach that empowers not only children but also the parents and teachers who support them. The program includes Cadet Club Meetings, Parent Group Meetings, School Support, Missions and Mission Journal, Skill Tracker, Assessment Measures, and a Gadget Pack.
Our sessions are thoughtfully structured, with 90 minutes dedicated to Cadets and 30 minutes for caregivers. We believe in equipping young Cadets with the skills they need to thrive in today’s world, and we look forward to helping your child become a confident and socially adept Secret Agent. Contact us today to learn more and take the first step towards nurturing your child’s social-emotional growth.
